Using /kick with target selectors gives code error

After making a tag such as banned and when you run

/kick @a[tag=banned] No

The command block gives an error:

Syntax error: Unexpected "%2$s": at "%1$s>>%2$s<<%3$s"

but still works, just wondering if it is possible to maybe remove that code, this is low priority

Sincerely,

Also, a note on this, using the exact same command in the chat does not show the error message and just says who and why someone was kicked.

Another note: The command block does successfully kick but does not display the right message which is why this issue is caused most likely.
