Launch crash with older iPad running version 5.1.1

My five year old son loves minecraft pocket edition on his older vintage iPad which runs iOS 5.1.1. The new update will not launch. The iPad simple shows the mojang start up logo and then crashes. Reboots to iPad are not helping.

Same experience for my 8 years old son's Ipad 1 5.1.1. Even after cold start.

He has been crying 14 hours for his 1 years old lost world.

Don't worry, it's just it doesn't work with the wifi turned on, turn it off, and you can go on, but you can't play with friends, but hey, at least you can still play

I had the same problem

It is crashinfo file of the latest minecraft PE on ipad1 (5.1.1) with wifi OFF, after all

ipad 1 does not start with wifi disabled either. I have attached crashifo file.

I wonder - is here a proper place to be noted by developer's support?
