When i was playing mcpe in my friend's world, we both found a bug where we cant see other player's chat but i can saw mine.We tried to fix this by rejoining the world but it doesn't work
And this bug hasn't been fixed yet
Pls upvote this issue so they can fix it on the next beta update

This happens with me n my friend too, i'm on windows 10, n hes's on mobile, we also can't see each others messages, we have to either use signs, or just external chat to communicate, even after re-logging and or re-installing the game, this bug is still present.
However, this doesn't happen all the time, sometimes i can see his message but he can't see mine and vice versa, also in some sessions it doesn't happen at all and we can see each others chats.
