So I found an issue where if I log onto my minecraft world via LAN connection on a different device using the same account, all the items are duplicated. Before it worked fine and minecraft recognised it as 2 seperate accounts even though it's the same Microsoft account. Normally the second account would be displayed as <account name>(2) and would be treated as a different account. Today when I tried logging on using my phone to connect to my survival world on my xbox I noticed that all my items have been replaced with duplicate items on my xbox's side. In the attached picture, you can see that all the items are duplicated over (before it only had diamond armor).
