I put my name in color then got off to go play on a server then it said invalid name.then I checked my name and nothing was there. Now it won't let me type at all

The current temporary solution is to fix/replace your options.txt to correct the name or, if you can't do that, to uninstall and reinstall the app (this will not affect your singleplayer worlds, but you will have to reenter your servers). Please post any further comments on MCPE-8750 (which I've reopened) and vote for that issue to get it fixed sooner than other bugs.
