2 days ago I decided to add colours and change my pe name, I searched up a youtube video to show me how (by holding 's' with 'c' through it button. I got a new name with colours. I go to do multiplayer but it says invalid name. I can longer type anything in the name box - no new name and neither my old name. So I can no longer play multiplayer. I also posted this query under another bug file loaded by 'Rilow06' who looks like they had a similar issue.
Can you let me know how to fix this please.

btw: the version I have is 0.11.1 but the box above didn't allow me to select it

The current temporary solution is to fix/replace your options.txt to correct the name or, if you can't do that, to uninstall and reinstall the app (this will not affect your singleplayer worlds, but you will have to reenter your servers). Please post any further comments on MCPE-8750 (which I've reopened) and vote for that issue to get it fixed sooner than other bugs.
The only fix is to get a copy of the original options.txt and delete the one on your current device, and install the new one
