Well today me and my cousin were playing minecraft and all of a sudden mob loot and xp wasn't dropping at all we saved and quit loaded it up still the same thing then I closed app and loaded back in still nothing happen so then I contacted you guys to see if you can fix this bug in the game

It probably has nothing to do with the gamerule thing. I have the same issue on Xbox, since 1.16.1 came out. I also cant eat, or plant crops. Mobs not dropping items also include shearing sheep.
The game in its current states is basically unplayable ín survival Mode.
