Skin glitch in multiplayer game. Every player on the same world is set as a steve skin, and it cant be changed or fixed. Everyone shows up as steve on screen, but for third person or inventory, you can see your own skin.

Everyone on a multiplayer world shows up as a steve skin. In your own inventory or third person view, you can see your personalized skin, but to others, youre also steve. We had a previous skin glitch where you would appear as eachothers skins. Apparently, when you tried to fix this bug, you accidentally changed it, rather than fix it. There were a couple weeks of no problems between these 2 glitches, where skins worked normally. Please fix this steve issue.

When playing on a minecraft server, I have the same issue. Custom skins become steve.

I have the same issue, when me and my sister play, her skin is normal, but then when she looks at me, I have the Steve skin when in my perspective, I have my normal skin.

Yeah that same thing happened to me and my friends but we all just reported it! I think they will start working on it soon!! 🙂

In Settings > Profile, do you have "Only Allow Trusted Skins" disabled?

Not sure why this issue has been closed, as it seems it's still a big problem facing many gamers on multiple devices. In fact, I'm having the exact same issue on two accounts with two computers using Windows 10 Minecraft Bedrock edition. Both profiles change to STEVE "in the middle of a game". I make minecraft videos for YouTube, so this problem is devastating when recording screen capture. One minute there's a white guy and girl on screen, then all of a sudden we're both black and look like STEVE.

I keep reading that it must be my computer or my internet or something on my end. But I have a minimum of 250mbps internet speed. It's not on my end.

Looking at all the unresolved complaints about this issue, which has been going on for 5+ years, brings me to the conclusion that nobody really cares about fixing it.
