My name in Minecraft PE was JoeDavAlex,and I was an admin at a server,The owner had the color of his name changed.I asked how,he told me,so I logged out of the server,went to the MCPE settings to change my name. (You do it by holding down the S key,then finding a letter that looks like this:§. Then you press a number 1-9 for different colors.) I did this,deleted my name,and now I cant type anything for my name. I am greatly troubled and upset by this.I need to get back on the server,but all is says is Invalid Name. So please help me or make an update in which the bug is gone. I cant even do singleplayer chat.

The current temporary solution is to fix/replace your options.txt to correct the name or, if you can't do that, to uninstall and reinstall the app (this will not affect your singleplayer worlds, but you will have to reenter your servers). Please post any further comments on MCPE-8750 (which I've reopened) and vote for that issue to get it fixed sooner than other bugs.
