I was boating towards a village using frosted rivers using a boat for faster travel where I hopped out of the boat and for whatever reason the boat just moves forward. I tried it on land and it moves a bit. I used that on ice and it went far. Here is some of my gameplay footage. I speed it up so its much clearer.
