While trying to build a gold farm in the end, I have found that if you place a transparent block above a turtle egg (such as a Trapdoor), Zombified Piglins become unable to pathfind to the turtle egg.

I expect this is intended behavior because they are unable to stomp on the egg when there is a block above it.
