Torches and other light sources, don't admit light.

Usually, these kind of bugs only happen to the split screen side, but nope, it happens to both. Torches do admit light for like, one block, and no more light. So we haven't been in our creative/survival  world since 1.14, cause everyone is into speed running cause of that youtuber called Dream (thanks Dream!), and everyone is trying to speedrun minecraft. (and making impossible difficulties and doing one block skyblock, and staying in a straight line and using the largest modpack, and random crafting recipies, and I know the trends) So after failing at speedrunning, we decided to return to this survival world called "Cvs" which stands for Creative vs Survival. We went down to the beacon area, where we strip mine, and it was completly dark, and we haven't touched any light sources, and we surely remembered that it was bright down here. And besides there were torches spammed everywhere! The beacon was also a source of light to remember, and now its not. We checked our skeleton spawner broken item filter builder and it was also dark. Very weird.
