Players can't see my custom skin

When I import a custom skin from my camera roll, I can see it normally. But other players only see me as Steve when playing on a LAN server. I play on an iPhone 11, and my friends play on an iPhone SE (2020) and an Xbox One S, and neither one of them can see my skin, they just see Steve.

I agree, i play on a samsung galaxy tab a and i get this problem when on a nLAN world. I would really like mojang to fix this as me and my friends play on a realm as well and we goof around but cant identify teams or players from a distance. Mojang, please fix this

In Settings > Profile, do your friends have "Only Allow Trusted Skins" disabled?

What does the “only allow trusted skins” option do? It’s never been a problem before, they could see it before we all got the nether update.

The option prevents imported skins from being shown on other players. If your friends have the option enabled, that is why they can't see your skin.
