I have a my PC attached to a 4K TV with the desktop resolution set at 4K. I was getting horrible performance in the RTX beta with RTX on and upscaling on with my RTX 2060 GPU.
I had seen that the game was supposed to be locked at 1080p, but for a trial, I went back and set my desktop resolution to 1080p and restarted Minecraft RTX Beta. I went from an unplayable & headache inducing 20 fps with my desktop resolution at 4K to perfectly smooth 60fps when set to 1080p.
The upscaling option was set to on in both cases so I could take advantage of the DLSS 2.0 performance boost. It seems like there would be opportunity to add an option for the game resolution so that you can render at a lower resolution than your desktop resolution.
This game runs really well for me at 1080p and upscaling turned on, but it would be nice if I didn't have to change my desktop resolution to force the game to run in 1080p.
