When placing chests under Sea Lanterns you can open them. This doesn't work with other Full Blocks like Redstone Block.
To Reproduce this Bug:
Place Sea Lantern Block
Place Chest under Sea Lantern Block
Open the Chest (Bug)

However, this issue has been resolved as Working as Intended.
This behavior is consistent with Java (MC-122409).

The sea lantern is a solid block. Chests do not open when solid blocks are on top.
