Items in my inventory disappear and I am teleported to a different location

I was exploring world, and I had to get dinner so I, stop in the middle of the forest I was in and I build up some block so I can see when I re join where I was. After that I save my world and get to the kitchen and ate my dinner. When I got back and re joined I was really close to world spawn without any items in my inventory. I could not die cause my game was saved. And even if I died  I could not spawned there cause I slept in a village nowhere near spawn plus my bed that I usually sleep in is in my house close to spawn but not close to the place I spawned in . I would like if you could help me out with this problem cause that was not the first time it happened.
