When playing in a server my skin appears as Steve or Alex or a discolored variation to other players, and other players look like Steve, but in third person and the paper doll show my skin correctly. After logging out and reloading the game the skin resets back to default Steve. If the skin has a hat or hood layer to the skin then it stretches the Steve to fit.
