I have literally befriended 13 wolves on a purely survival game (creative/cheats have NEVER been enabled), and I still can't unlock this achievement. Progress isn't even registering.

I'm unable to unlock the achievement either. I have tamed 5 wolves in Minecraft Survival, yet the achievement isn't unlocking for some reason. As a result, I am unable to get the Wolf Mask reward as well. I have attached two screenshots. As you can see in one of the screenshots, the achievement says I have some progress remaining to unlock it. However, in the other screenshot, you can see it says my progress is 5/5 or 100%, so it's almost certain I have completed the requirements for the achievement, yet it won't unlock still.

Update: I decided to tame one more wolf, and to my surprise, the achievement unlocked. I believe, in my case, the achievement progress counter was most likely glitched in some way or another, making me think I had enough wolves for the achievement when I didn't.
I have this issue. This is the only trophy I need for 100% completion . I don't want to make a new report because Mojang explicitly states not to, but, after some reading, it's clear this issue is unresolved for many people and has been for YEARS for some, yet it's labeled resolved because this specific person got it to work. Others have reported this bug, and the reply was that the issue is being tracked here. I am SO confused. I've been playing Minecraft for over a decade and this is the first bug that's genuinely impeded progress for me which is a praise worthy feat, but I'm so frustrated because after so long playing , I finally have the chance to get 100% completion rate, but can't due to a bug that I can't seem to even understand the progress on or if it's even being addressed. Please help Mojang????
I have done this in 1.16.100 and I cannot get the leader of the pack either. I started a new world just to do achievements with no addons of any kind and only in survival on hard.
