New Minecraft installation on iPad.
New World create (no marketplace templates used). Random Seed indicated as 274966093.
Play Mode set to Creative / Peaceful.
When generating first map, zoom-level 0/4, the map is centered at 0,0 with top-left anchor at -64,-64. This is correct for both pre and post v1.8.0
Bad Zooming Behavior:
When zooming the map to zoom-level 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4, using either an anvil or a cartographers table, the center point remains the same: 0,0
This behavior is the same as old mapping earlier than release v1.8.0
Version v1.8.0 and later should be: the top-left anchor should be -64,-64 and the centerpoint should move to 64,64 then 192,192 and etc. as the map continues to be zoomed out.
Please advise on the issue and the correction.
Screenshots with coordinates, inventories indicating map zoom levels, and maps showing position 0,0 still indicated as map centers.

This is NOT WORKING AS EXPECTED. Every WIKI post reports that Map zooming should all anchor top left to the -64,-64 coordinates.
I gave support everything they could possibly need to reproduce the error, and I was ignored for a false validation that was closed 8 months ago.
This ticket was closed incorrectly. I will continue to reopen tickets until this gets an honest answer or gets due attention and appropriate comment.
I agree - it is not official. But when different worlds display different behaviors for map zooming, then something is broken.
As noted in this example, World Seed 274966093 will zoom maps with everything instance having 0,0 at center. However, World Seed 1633530955 will zoom maps with every instance using -64,-64 as the top left anchor point, and changing the center as described in the Wiki.
Please explain why there are 2 possible map zooming algorithms with no way of knowing how maps are going to work in any specific World Seed occurrence? What is Mojang's official report on how maps are supposed to operate? Where is the link to the appropriate documentation?
