cows climbing ladders...

i know mobs can be pushed onto ladders but since when do they proceed to climb up them?

note in the pics provided, the cow is apparently pushed into the lower rung but then proceeds to climb and jump the rest of the way up and out of the pen.

not a big deal, but hilarious and surprising to load to.

update: i was using wheat to round up my cows and one of the cows still in the pen used the ladder to climb up and out in order to reach me...

smart cow. im removing the lower rungs from all the pens...

on a final note, if this "fix" was intended, the change log needs to be updated to reflect the change.

If a mob happens to pathfind towards a ladder and press up against it, this will happen. This is intended behavior.

^ this was not happening in 1.16.1... mobs were not pathfinding through ladders.

so if your saying "they fixed it in 1.16.2", okay.

but just to be clear, this likely means creepers, zombies and ect will now climb ladders to reach the player. maybe thats been the plan all along...

but it hasnt worked until now.

hmmm... maybe one punch farms can use ladders now...

Just as ConfusedOcelot4 said, they should be able to reach the ladder by the usual pathfinding and accidentally "climb" it by just pushing on it if, for example, you hold wheat somewhere that the ladder is placed. It is intended behavior. Closing as WAI.
