After the latest update, August 11th, my Nintendo switch will freeze for long periods of time and start running again. It only tends to freeze when I try to write on signs, but I'm also incapable of seeing public chats in servers or responding to them because it freezes as well. Also, trying to close the game sometimes results in a total freeze and requires me to force restart the entire switch. I've tested other games, physical and downloaded, and it runs smoothly, but Minecraft via switch was working just fine prior to the update the same day. It's just too agitating for me to play now.

there has been many reports on this already. this really is the biggest bug in nintendo switch minecraft. also, is your copy physical or digital? mines is physicalÂ

I saw reports of this issue on other websites dating back to 2019, so if it has really existed that long, that is highly disappointing that nothing has been done. But, yes, my copy is physical too. Do you think there could be a difference?
