Since your last update, every single time that I open Minecraft and then close it (when done playing), my switch freezes. Do you understand what this means? I don't think you do so let me explain. You see I paid $300+ for a console. Then I paid hundreds of dollars for several different types of games for said console. One of those games was minecraft. Seeing as your update has caused my console to freeze, I can't play minecraft (which I pay for to use realms). I also can't play ANY OF THE OTHER GAMES THAT I PURCHASED ON THIS EXPENSIVE CONSOLE BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPID FAULTY UPDATE. In summary, the entire console freezes every time I close out the game. I've had to hard reboot a couple of times and would like for you to supply me a brand new switch seeing as how your are literally destroying the hardware on mine with your faulty update. You had several days to roll back your idiotic update and didn't. So a new Switch would be the only answer at this point.
I totally get that since Microsoft bought out Mojang they have sucked it up, but please, for the love of everything good in the world, get your freaking crap together. Stop releasing updates that you haven't fully tested. Fix this. It's ridiculous that people are paying a subscription (monthly payment) for realms and your suggestion was don't use it. Are you really that stupid?

if your switch is still frozen, hold the power button for 15 seconds, that will turn it off, and then press the power button again to turn it on. i did this many times when my switch froze just like that.
While I absolutely understand the frustration, please remain civil when using the bug tracker. Insulting the incredibly passionate people that create the game isn't going to get the fix out sooner and its not necessary. While its hard to understand when affected by issues such as this, creating a game for hundreds of different devices across 6+ different platforms comes with significant challenges. Unfortunately, occasionally things do go wrong and they are doing their best to get it resolved as soon as possible.
Freezing should have no impact to your switch console, it certainly shouldn't damage it in any way. However, if you are concerned, please stop playing Minecraft until an update can be released.
