If I start Minecraft for some Reason I can't pick editions.

Only players who previously owned the PS4 Edition of the game have the option to play "Editions" or the Bedrock version of the game. If this describes your situation and you still don't have the Editions button then please contact Minecraft Customer Support directly.

I think what you mean is to pick to play either legacy console or bedrock?
From what I've heard you have to go to the list of games, wherever it is on ps4, and select the edition you want to play.
