My Minecraft on PS4 is missing the Editions tab

Same problem for me but I had the ps4 edition for almost 3 years digitally and the edition button disappeared on me

I MAY HAVE A SOLUTION!!!! Now this problem has happened to both me and my friend and the method, I'm about to share, fixed it for both of us. Now I'm going to list the steps because that will be easier to read. to access your Minecraft saves go to settings->storage->system storage-> internal storage (the one in the ps4) > save data>Minecraft

1) I would HIGHLY recommend you back-up your Minecraft save to a USB. Also copy all of your saved storage on ps plus to the system.

2)(optional) Make sure there are no saves on a different ps4 under your account. If there is copy it over to your primary Ps4

3) Now go to your Minecraft save data. you will notice there are some pictures of Alex's face with a gear next to it. Select all the boxes above and including the picture of Alex with the gear. delete them now (THIS WILL WIPE ANYTHING YOU DID ON BEDROCK )(you may be able to bring the bedrock worlds back if you have them on a USB and bring the world saves (not the Alexes) back after the tutorial.

4)Now scroll down, you may notice there are some pictures of steve with diamond armor, the first time there are 2 of them and the second time there are three of them. Now between the 2 of them and 3 of them is there a picture/ save data that is the same as you would have if you first made the world/ a landscape that you did not leave the game looking at. if yes select it and everything above it. If not send an image to this chat and I will be happy to tell you what to delete. What the weird landscape was was a bad save causing the game to mess up and later on cause the game to think you don't have ps4 Minecraft. (NOTE anything you delete will be gone (in case you were unsure)).

5) Restart Ps4

6)Boot up Minecraft

7)Happy face, if not chat in this server so I can of someone else can assist.

8) Make fun of Mojang for having a kid figure it out and not them 🙂 (I love you Minecraft still)

Hey I don't have 3 steves,and what do you mean by "landscapes?" Is this a part I can't proceed?

you know how you usually save the game by looking at what you build/did. there will be one bad save that will have an image of a landscape, not of your creation. You can also take a picture(s) and send them here so I can tell you what to delete and what to not delete.

Hey do you have discord or a psn so I can contact you I bought the PS4 edition disc from a friend and it doesn’t show up the editions button but I already had bedrock edition on my ps4 previously can u help me?

My editions button on disc disapeared when i deleted disc version and downloaded digital version,im started playing in 2018 and game means i started after 2019, but i using old minecraft disc and i started playing in 2018. IMPORTANT: all fixes not worked and i have this problem 1 year. AND AGAIN IMPORTANT: here sended me Minecraft Customer Support to i report this issue here

Has this been fixed for anyone? Ive tried the solution in the other comment and all other solutions I could find on the internet and nothing has worked. Mojang support directed me here and said they don't work with ps4 edition. I have the disk and used to have the button but now its gone. 

I also have encountered this issue now. I cannot seem to find a solution online. After the last update my editions button is gone. I own a physical copy of the PS4 Edition Minecraft from 2013 I believe it is and yet, I have no access to the Editions button. 

I have the PS4 Disc Version, and one day I noticed the Editions Button had disappeared. I want to know why this happened and how I can get it back. I have had the PS4 Disc version for years before it was discontinued. The Editions button worked fine for a while, but then it randomly disappeared. It has been gone since then.

My editions button has never appeared on my minecraft copy even though I have the og minecraft ps4 edition disc, don't get me wrong I love minecraft bedrock edition because of it's updates and crossplay functionality but sometimes I would like to visit the old minecraft ps4 too. Quite disappointed that I have never gotten the feature back.

i HAD the editions button but because of some issues with pan and profiles I had to delete Minecraft. I had later found the disc again and reinstalled it. But the editions button was missing. I have tried many methods of getting it back but none have worked

I've had my copy of Minecraft Playstation 4 edition since Christmas of 2014. That's the same year I got my ps4 to begin with, I eventually deleted the disc copy for bug issues and tried to reinstall it recently and now my editions button is missing, I've had it before. My psn name is Imai- Feck, it used to be killerslayer57 before I changed it years later. I would like my editions button back please.

Im having the same issue, only really occurred though after transferring my data to the ps5. I bought the ps4 version the same year of its release and since bedrock i havent been able to play the old edition really at all.

my legacy 4J Studios PS4 edition disc copy of Minecraft for PS4 doesn't show the editions button on Bedrock version 1.20.51 (most recent version) and I have played the legacy version of the game before on my main PS4/PS5 account (Steven_Coyle123) since 2015 and would like to see the button restored on my game as the button shows perfectly fine on my other PSN account (cleland_kid) in the screenshots provided along with a picture of my box art and disc

the problem only happens when I update to 1.20.51 but when I disconnect my internet while installing the game I can play the base 1.0 legacy PS4 edition off the disc perfectly fine but the moment I reconnect my internet and update the game the legacy edition is gone with no way to access it again I don't know much about game development but I believe it can be fixed with a game update and/or patch I know I'm not the only one on here with this issue any help is appreciated thanks

Also have this issue. Randomly lost access to my editions button even though I had the game prior to Bedrock edition releasing. I also had bought battle minigames DLC which I can no longer access now. Please fix this Mojang, this is an annoying bug that removes a great feature for original PS4 edition players 

Button randomly disappeared for me in the last few months I had it digitally from before bedrock came out, seen other people say its a per account thing but for me i cant access editions across my whole console. Even on other accounts that have pre-bedrock minecraft digitally the button is gone for me

I have the Minecraft PS4 legacy disc and according to Mojang, the legacy console edition can be accessed by “editions” button on the bedrock menu but it isn’t there. Is there anyway I can get it back?
