we are still having this problem with Minecraft 1.16.20
where the switch will literally crash when you try to exit the game
or just at random
one of my friends couldn't sign in for 2 days
thank god that this is not my switch glitching out because I tried the same process with other games and it works fine
I have found a way to bypass it but its not a fix
you have to restart your console to not have the freeze
all in all the update works like a charm that's when I can actually play that is ...
