I just loaded up a new minecraft survival world, I enabled bonus chest before I created it and I spawned a few blocks away from the bonus chest, and it and the torches were floating in the air above a small pond/lake/water hole. I have attached a photo of the bug below.
Something similar occured to me on the minecraft pre-set seed; stronghold below, deep down in the stronghold, deeper than most people usually go on that seed, there was a floating torch in one of the passageways.

If you want to like close or resolve this then that's fine because I don't have the seed but it's still is a bug
