I have been having 2 different but related issues with raids on beta worlds.
The first issue: during a raid, when any player attempts to damage any raid entity directly (via sword, bow, crossbow, or trident) it will register the first hit on the targeted mob, and then the world freezes (typically before a second hit can be registered), crashing the game shortly afterwards. This has happened on all beta worlds I have played - my own worlds and multiplayer on other beta worlds. Non player damage causing entities like golems, conduits, fire and magma do not crash the game and cause damage normally.
The second issue: I have tried multiple attempts to reload a world after a crash. Typically, worlds will reload as if I had the bad omen effect and just walked into a village, starting wave 1 of a raid. However, on occasion, the raid will not start immediately and will take roughly 1 in game day / night cycle to begin. In the ladder case, nothing seems to happen at first, but the raid begins seemingly randomly some time after - signaled only by the raid airhorn sound - regardless of where the triggering player is in relation to the village which triggered the raid.
Thank you for your report!
However, this issue is Invalid.
Thank you for taking the time to mention these bugs. It would be most helpful if you could keep these reports to one bug per ticket though, so we can track the progress of each of them individually.
(You can find an example bug ticket here.)
Also, we'd recommend making use of the search feature before writing a new bug report, as it's very likely that the issue has been mentioned already, and you can add a vote and any new information to the main ticket.
