Alright, so one of my favorite things to do in creative mode is messing around with command blocks. I was at a test world messing with the /execute command as always. Today minecraft updated to the newest version. So I tried running an execute command, and it didn't work! That usually happened when there were way too many mobs, so i tried using /kill 2-3 times before trying again. Still didn't work, even though the entity count was down by a lot. I tried a different world, but it wouldn't work there either. Heck, I even tried to use it only 1 mob, and it still didn't work. I tested out that it isn't something with the summon command, so the execute command has to have some bug. I checked the update changelog too on feedback.mincreaft.net to make sure there wasn't some change to the command. Please fix this bug, I would highly appreciate it!

Hello! I tried to mass summon lightning by using /execute @e ~~~ summon lightning_bolt ~~~. Please do not ask why, I just like destruction. I got back multiple consecutive "Unable to summon entity" errors followed by the error message "Failed to execute as LefterisLegend (me), Zombie, Zombie... etc. I tried again with a way smaller amount of entities, since in the rare occasions that this would happen it would be because there were too many entities. It failed again. The summon command by itself works properly, I tested it. I am pretty sure it wasn't a typo or anything, so, my conclusion is, something is broken with the /execute command.
EDIT: I tried using a different command along with execute, such as /fill, and it worked. So something has to do when /summon is paired with /execute?
The command
/execute @e ~~~ summon lightning_bolt ~~~
worked fine for me in 1.16.20. I'm not in the beta program so I can't test it there.
