"Unable to connect to world"

Since 1.16.20 was released I started having this bug where whenever I try joining my friend's world it says "unable to connect to world" or just gets stuck. But when I join servers it's fine but when joining friends I can't get in. I tried restarting Minecraft but didn't work I also restarted my device but it also didn't work. I even tried cleaning my storage and signed out and signed back in to my account but none of those even worked. Please fix thx!
