Unable to join realms after patch update

Same issue that is in REALMS-10677

On XB1,  I keep getting a message saying I cannot join realms because of how my Microsoft account is set up. 

 I updated Minecraft to 1.19.20 and now I get the above message.  I can log in with my IPAD no issues, loads fine. (ipadios 15.5) (1.19.20)

 

But not on Xbox Bedrock Minecraft.

I get that same message appears on Worlds tab, Realm tab and Server tab(no servers appear).

 

 I have checked my account settings on both xbox and microsoft, all work because the ipad mc works with no issues or warning messages, (but checked anyways, all is well) if it was truly an account issue the message would be cross platform. 

 

***Nothing has changed in my account/xbox EXCEPT the last minecraft update from 1.19.10 to 1.19.20. ***

 

Also a NON child account.  

I did a complete delete of minecraft, reinstall, removed account from xbox, re-added, still the same thing. 

One thing I did notice that on the worlds/realms/server tabs, the number indicating how many of each do appear, 10 for worlds (local) 1 for friends in realms world, and 7 for servers. So it knows the realms, server counts, but... wont get past the message.  I get this looks like an account issue but like I said, if it was, the ipad minecraft would also receive the same message

 

So my money in realms is being wasted from a patch update.

As mentioned with REALMS-10677, this may be an issue with your account that is not visible to you, so you might want to contact the Minecraft Help Center.

How can this be an identical issue another user has at the same time with the same update on an account that WORKS with other platforms but the Xbox  version of the game? 

 

I can turn off the account settings, (block) and get the issue to appear on the other platforms and turn them on and get it to correct by allowing settings and the Xbox version still doesn't accept the changes.  Thats not an account issue, thats game side issue.  Don't dismiss it because the bug report has the word account in it.  

 

Other report you noted "In general, account issues are Invalid on the bug tracker, however, this may be an actual bug since a non-child account should not have any restrictions."

 

so... it COULD be a bug on 10677  but on my report, its account issue?   Considering it worked BEFORE the update and now it doesn't.   Like microsoft privacy settings just picked people randomly to shut off their access?  I just don't feel like playing ping pong, I call MS and they says its Mojang and back and forth.  Someone has to take the initiative and say hmm... it WAS working and now its not... Multiple people have the same issue and ?

Your report was resolved as a duplicate of REALMS-10677. That report is waiting for a response from the reporter (or anyone, actually) to provide additional information. If you can provide a numbered list of steps that someone else can follow to reproduce the issue, that would be ideal. Feel free to comment on the REALMS-10677 report with that information and the issue should automatically reopen.

If you think your issue is different, feel free to explain how, and again, a numbered list of steps (in the Description) would be most helpful so the problem can be reproduced.
