Allays Not Functioning Correctly on Realms

Allays will not fetch and return items they are holding. They follow the player when holding an item, but do not react to that item being thrown on the ground.

What I expected to happen was...:
Allay fetches and returns item

What actually happened was...:
Allays had no reaction to dropped item matching the one in their hands 

Steps to Reproduce:
1. find or summon allay
2. give allay any item
3. drop said item on the ground and allay will not retrieve
