Marketplace Add-ons Not Showing For Some Players

Some Add-ons aren't showing for some of my players. Some players can't see the gravestones addon and others can't see the Spark Pets addon. I've had them reset their cache and all it does it change which add-on they can see.

We don't have these issues with add-ons added from outside of the marketplace.

Unable to replicate, my realm is on Java, not Bedrock. Doesn't mean that it's a false report though.

@unknown I'm pretty sure that Java doesn't have a marketplace for addons - you guys have mods 🙂

Any update yet? Even after the 1.20.80 update this bug still persists.

migrated

Affecting me on 2 different Ipads.  Only 1 add-on is visible "poisonous potato"

batmanstanley

do you have experiments enabled?

For anyone else still having problems, I highly suggest clearing out your cache inside of the Minecraft Bedrock settings in the Storage tab. Not just the Marketplace Cache, but everything in the one below with all of the temp files for other people's AddOns and Recourse Packs. Hope that helps you all as much as it did for us!

Thanks for the report. We are taking a look.

This should be fixed now  This won't be fixed until 1.21.20

This error seems to be remerging on my realm, it only has marketplace add-ons as well as the most recent version. could it have just been harder to encounter or less common? Its happening with 2 different players with different ones not appearing for each person.

This is still a bug for one of my players in my server. They keep having to reset their game and it works for a few but then they can't see the others. Other players are fine. They play Xbox Series X. It's been a known issue for awhile. It goes off and on all the time. But when I check it always says resolved. But from what I'm seeing that is false.

migrated

It's fixed for me on PC but still happening on Xbox Series X.

CornerHard

This actually won't be fixed until 1.21.20

I have the same problem with gravestone on my realm. One part of my membres doesn't see correctly the addon

This issue has spiraled even more with Add-ons that were perfectly working now not appearing anymore. This is after updating to 1.21.2 that had released on 7/9/2024. This has also completely removed my Add-ons in resource packs and behavior packs from my realm. Though they are still "Active" just not toggleable.

migrated

Yes i agree with the update 1.21.20 thé add-on doesn't work correctly

migrated

Still occurring on Xbox Series X as of update 1.21.20.

Adding that this is still a real problem.  Recently created a new Realm, purchased a few new Add-Ons, and routinely added them on.  They appear on my Realm settings page under "Add-Ons" as [Resource Packs] and [Behavior Packs] but appear to be inaccessible (as in not functioning) in the Realm itself.  Unless "Behavior Packs" means that the Realm "thinks" that they are functioning.

None of these add-on packs have ever appeared in our Realm, and none of them seem to function.  Players are wondering if I somehow missed a step?  List included for clarification: they were captured from the Realms setup page.

Is there something more we should do to make these things work?

Keeping an open mind, thanks!

I am still having this bug. Tbh I don't know if you guys are putting the right update version in your comments. Am I stupid or are you guy just not saying there is a delay.

I forgot to add but does 2 at the end of v1.21.2 mean 20?

migrated

Just here adding that this wouldn't be such a LOUD problem but Microsoft has the audacity to charge MONEY in the MARKETPLACE for these ADD-ONs.  And they don't work.  Correction: they STILL don't work.

Why do mods work in Java (for free, no less!), but Bedrock seems to be so far behind?

...and yes, the current version IS 1.21.20 - but we're not supposed to notice.

[media]

And no, the problem has not yet been fixed.  Nor has it "gone away" in time, as is the hype/hope.

Sorry - just trying to lighten the mood.  This has to be a joke, it just has to be.  They're charging real money for Add-Ons that when Added On don't function.

I might have to start posting warnings to prevent others from experiencing the same.

CornerHard

Apologies for the wait. The game is still on 1.21.2, but this will not be fixed until 1.21.20, which is coming Soon™

Thanks for the info.  The feedback is appreciated.  I'm a little confused though.  No, I'm kinda' VERY confused...

Last I checked (and the C++ compiler right here agrees) 1.21.2 == 1.21.20 - merely adding a zero to the hundredths place doesn't change the value.  Are you insinuating that we're actually looking at version 1.21.02?  You know that mathematically those placeholders are there for a reason, right?

CornerHard

We have to follow the version number restrictions of all the different Bedrock platforms, so things can sometimes be confusing, but think of it as '2' vs. '20'.

1.21.2 = the second hotfix for 1.21

1.21.20 = the second planned monthly update after 1.21's release

1.21.10 was cancelled, which adds more to the confusion.

batmanstanley

My question is why isn't this a hotfix issue? Its a system in the game not properly working making it highly disruptive.

I just recently ran across an announcement in SportSkeeda claiming MineCraft Bedrock 1.21.30.21 was in beta - included some preview patch notes.  Apparently my familiarity with the decimal counting system bears no relationship to the Microsoft/MineCraft version counting system, so I have to ask: should I get excited about these upcoming developments?

Announcement attached to prove it wasn't necessarily an illusion or merely a projection of my wishful thinking.  😃

Thanks!

This should be resolved with the release of 1.21.21

migrated

Well, it would appear that we have arrived at version

[media]

(v 1.21.21) - other than the system asking me to download additional resource packs when I connected to my Realm (another great success!), when do the packs make their presence known?  Because beyond the additional resource pack requirement the doors, additional explosives, glittering portals have so far failed to um make themselves known.

Is this a problem with integration of the packs themselves or a situation with the absolutely poor documentation available on the Realms Marketplace?  Because you buy 'em, install 'em, and then you sort of wait to see what happens next.  The additional recipes should appear in your recipe book (they haven't yet) announcing their presence.  But so far they're not there.

On a quest to make these things work.  According to your "everything is fine" Marketplace they're supposed to work out of the box.  Money was paid.  Box was opened.  ...   ...   ...still nothing.

So, er, what's going on out there?
