Hi there. If you click on the pack in the Realms edit world screen, you will be able to arrow down/up the resource packs as you would like.

We have identified the root cause of the issue and are working on a fix. The issue is due to the number packs applied to the world.

As a workaround, you can strip off the packs prior to download and then re-apply the removed packs after download.

Our prior fix required one small configuration update as well. That has been made so subpacks are working 100% correctly on Realms now.

We shipped a service side fix for this today. Subpacks should now be working properly on Realms 🙂

One small caveat to that is that restoring from a backup will result in the subpack selection resetting to the default value. We are working on some changes to our backup system which will allow us to persist this data with backups properly which will fix this small issue.

Fix will roll out with 1.21.70

Try updating the pack UUIDs and version numbers. Make sure that the resource pack and behavior pack each have their own unique UUIDs.

Please reach out to player support via Minecraft.net for this issue.

For connection issues like this, it is best to reach out to Minecraft player support via minecraft.net. They can collect details needed for us to investigate further and to resolve any networking issues that may exist.

Please note that the “name” here is the player Java in-game username which is different than the player’s Xbox Gamertag. They can check what their Java Username is by signing in on Minecraft.net.

Can you please reach out to customer support on this? We can take a look specifically at the logs for your Realm if we get additional information from you (that we don’t want shared here in a public space). Thanks!

I can't promise when it will be fixed, but I can confirm that we have an engineer working on it currently.

Try using these steps from the help site, else I'd recommend reaching out to Minecraft player support since the issue seems to be specific to your account and/or setup [Troubleshoot Minecraft Realms Connection Errors | Minecraft Help|https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4410376128013]

Can you download your world locally from your Realm and then attach a zipped version of it to this ticket?

We are aware of this issue and are working on a fix for it.

In the meantime, I recommend downloading your world locally, removing the packs you would like to, resetting the slot on your Realm, and then uploading the local copy (with the packs removed) to that same slot.

This should be fixed soon in an upcoming update. In the meantime, you can change this setting via in-game slash commands while on your Realm and it will work as intended.

Jorgeson, we confirmed that the remaining issues with gamerules is due to the UI bug mentioned below. It appears that updating any settings via the Realms Edit World menu can result in gamerules reverting to their default. Our client team will be working on a fix for this, but in the meantime, any gamerule updates made via slash commands are in fact persisting across sessions.

We released a service-side fix for this on January 8th, 2025. Note that you may need to reset any settings that were cleared prior to that though.

Also note that there is a UI bug still in our Realms Edit world screen where updating any setting can result in some gamerules being reset to the default. Our client team is working on a fix for this, but in the meantime any gamerule updates made via in game slash commands will in fact persist.

Please try re-enabling keep inventory in your world and see if this issue still persists. I believe that it should be fixed now. We had an issue where some settings were not being saved properly and were being reset between server sessions. We fixed that issue on January 8th, 2025 via a service-side fix.

Console manufacturers require all paid games to require players to have an online subscription in order to play multiplayer on console. Free to play games (like Fortnite, etc) have an exemption from this rule, but Minecraft is not free to play, so it does not. This is not a bug sadly, but a requirement of all console manufacturers (Xbox, Sony, Nintendo).

The setting is now being saved properly and is behaving properly in-game, but the UI in the menu is not updating properly, so it appears as if the value was not saved. We are working on a fix for this, but in the meantime it is now working properly 🙂 Note that if you change any other setting in the menu without typing the correct spawn radius in, it will reset back to 10, so be careful or reset it as needed. We'll have a fix for the ui soon!
