[REALMS-1176] Realm completely wiped by version 1.13 update

Following the automatic update to version 1.13, I opened my realm only to discover that all builds that were done in the past 3-4 months were completely wiped from the map. The realm have been effectively rolled back to the state that it was when it first spawned. I have attempted recovery of the realm by restoring a backup of the map from a few days back, but all that did was reload the same empty map.

I have searched for possible solutions but this issue does not appear to have been reported by anyone else.

Have you tried downloading the backup and opening it on singleplayer?

I have tried opening the backup on single-player, and it was the same result.

Yeah, realms are broken, unless you're on one that is never changed and rarely played.

Minecraft Realms for Java Edition has received a lot of updates and fixes over the last two years, so this issue has probably already been fixed in the meantime (e.g. because it was a temporary outage or an issue with the base game).

Since this bug report has not been updated since at least two years, please let us know if this is still an issue in current versions of Minecraft and update the bug report if applicable. If this is no longer an issue, please let us know as well. Thanks!
