I've been a Realm subscriber for at least 15 years maybe longer. I've built a massive realm for the kids at my church, we have built incredible amazing things. Some of the kids in my church are 10 years old and we have run the realm longer than they have been alive. But the realm is now being destroyed by snow. The kids play on iPads and Switches and after countless hours of online research, we cannot find any way to get rid of the snow. It is covering everything. I know we can put torches or pour water, but you simply can't do that to an entire massive realm. I have found old videos, some literally over 10 years old that suggest a command code /thaw followed by a radius like 300 for a number of blocks, but none of those work. Some people have told me you have to have a mod, but I don't know what that means. Sounds like something on a computer. It is so frustrating that we are about to cancel the subscription and discontinue the realm, which should be disappointing when we have built so much in it and I've been running it for over a decade. There has to be a way to turn off snow, or at least remove it,. Some of it's fine, but it's actually everywhere and destroying everything. It is ruining the fun of the game. I have run rain for hours on end, hoping that would melt it, but nothing works.
Please tell me how to get rid of the snow that is completely covered everything and will not go away.
kindly. I've been a huge fan, I have literally turned on hundreds of other leaders and promoted the game online and probably single-handedly selling you hundreds of subscriptions through my huge website promoting Realms.

I don't know how to answer the question of above whether it's bedrock or Java. So I just chose java

You may try to disable the weather cycle. Hope it helps clear out the snow.
Snow does not destroy blocks.
There is no /thaw command in vanilla Minecraft. You can use /fill instead.
There are Bedrock addons that function similar to Java mods and datapacks. A mod in this context means a game modification.

Well, I guess I don't know where to get help. I hit support within the game and it led me here. 😞 I did turn of Weather Cycle and it did not help. I'm at a loss how to get all this ridiculous snow to GO AWAY. It's really upsetting when we have spent over 10 years building everything to have this annoying snow covering everything and there no way to get rid of it?

I can't upload files as I play on an iPad, I understand this isn't a help desk, sorry. Just haven't been able to find a place to get help. Perhaps you can point me to a better place to get Minecraft help. I'm just a dad who leads a Realm for the kids at my church and have run a Realm for over 15 years. The kids know it better, but no one seems to know how to get rid of all this snow and googling it seems to be a rabbit hole of old posts over ten years old.

You can use fill like this. Hope it helps:
/fill ~5 ~5 ~5 ~-5 ~-5 ~-5 air replace snow_layer
Realms did also not exist in 2009, 15 years before 2024.
If the kids are playing on iPads and Nintendo Switches, that would mean you are running a Bedrock Realm.
To upload a world from the Realm using iPad, download the world, find the world file and share.
Rainfall cannot melt snow.

I don't recommend canceling your Realms subscription just because snow covered your realm. Minecraft Realms has so much potential with so many maps and minigames to play
