Armor trim appearing abnormally

I picked up trimmed armor from zombies in a trial chamber and put it on

Then I noticed later that my regular, non-trimmed armor in my inventory looked like it had copper trim, but when I clicked on it, it just said “diamond helmet” “leather tunic” etc.

The trim effect appeared and disappeared when I moved the armor around in my inventory, for example it appeared normal in my hotbar or when I opened a hopper or furnace, but then I opened a chest, most of the armor in it suddenly looked trimmed, despite definitely not being trimmed

The issue appeared to fix itself after relogging, but then I put on trimmed armor again, swapped it for my regular untrimmed armor, and suddenly my untrimmed armor looks trimmed too
