REALMS-13132

claims that uploading world fails, uploads anyway and changes the terrain, deleting builds

  • I download my world, created in version 1.21.4, 1.33GB in size to add some datapacks and then upload it again.

    • Expected Result would be that I join the world again with the new datapacks and keep playing

    • What actually happens: It gets stuck for a while on verifying world and then it says “Upload failed 504”, I click cancel or ok or whatever to get back to the realms manager screen, I join the world. The world opens and it has the changed datapacks so it’s clearly uploaded the world anyway, but as I move around some of the terrain changes to 1.21.5 terrain, deleting builds and so on. NOTE: The exact thing still happens even if I just download the world and upload it again, no changes. Going into the world in singleplayer does not cause the terrain to change, only after it has been uploaded to the realm.

Environment

Minecraft Realms on java
Windows 11
happens in both 1.21.5 and now in 1.21.6, cannot test further since the realm management is only available on the current version
