Name-tagged mobs despawning in Bedrock Realm

Despite applying name tags & confining mobs to a space less than 20x20 in a Minecraft Bedrock Realm (latest updated version), they still despawn.

I have 7 passive mobs in an area who all have name tags & the oldest mobs present despawn after a while. They're despawning in order of age. They're not dying because I completely safety-proofed the area. I have 3 allays, a frog & 2 armadillos. None of them harm any of the others, none fell, none were killed etc. They simply despawned.

I have ensured there are not lots of other mobs nearby… I have ensured they're confined & name tagged… but it still happens. I read on older versions that this can be to do with chunk borders as well, so I've just recently moved the animals into the centre of a chunk to ensure they won't cross a chunk border (which I believe is where Y or X coordinates are divisible by 16?).

The chunk is my respawn point where my bed & stuff is, so it's definitely accessed all the time. Device being used is a Nintendo Switch.

The game is no good to me if I cannot have pet armadillos…that is a deal breaker. The armadillos are everything.

Please can somebody check if this is a known bug and/or advise.

Many thanks.

Environment

Minecraft Bedrock Realm, latest version (chase the skies update). Played on Nintendo Switch.

Update: the two armadillos haven't despawned since confining them specifically within one chunk which probably proves it's a chunk border issue. The frog did though, which is probably due to the jumping. Not sure if he was exceeding an upper or lower chunk border somehow. My son said it looked like it disappeared into the floor and died somehow.
