Newer World Seed. No Mods. No addons. I have multi Nether Portals set. Seems to DC and reset from in the Nether mostly. Although I have lost progress one time in overworld. Windows 11. Older Intel CPU (i5 3550S) | AMD RX 580 8Gb | 16Gb system ram
Says I am on MC version 1.21.95.1 (IN Realm Back ups area) But on v1.21.94 in client. I am NOT running vibrant visuals. And Have things all set to Potato quality. Started this past week or so. I have tried as others have stated. (REALMS-13233 )
I have NOT copied and replaced the world. I HAVE downloaded it (To back it up). I HAVE manually set the server to different locations. This persists.
Seems random. Though mostly it seems to hit late at night after I have played for a while. I stess this happens mostly in the Nether…..specifically when porting back to the Overworld after playing a little in the Nether. (For example setting up a new portal or even placing signs for directions or building a land bridge to a new area. Only to try to port back to overworld and loose all progress and have it rubber band you back 45 minutes in time to a point you loose progress. ALSO NOTE…..I have had it loose progress several times in a row. All in the Nether, then have it rubber band my progess back 40 min, loose it, and in fraustration I quit and come back 2 hours later to find it fixed itself and returned my progess. I have actually had this happen. I go to Nether. Do XYZ. Go to Port to Overworld. Get kicked. Log back and its reset (Loosing XYZ progress). Get mad. So I log off. Come back hours later only to find XYZ progess is returned.
This is Maddening.
Edit: I would like to add that this started happening in the last week or so and then also in that time frame I bought the Android version of Bedrock as well so that I can do achievements. Achievements QUIT triggering for me months ago. After I updated to Win 11. The achievements are doable for me on Bedrock Android version as long as I can log into my Win 11 PC and set up the requirements. (Example “Trampoline” Bounce 30 blocks upward off a slime block. ) (I set up the platform and park my character on platform and log Android MC and jump…..achievement triggers.) (On Windows 11 PC achievements quit triggering for me several months ago, may be Windows 10 to 11 Update issue) I also wanted to run Bedrock on Linux. And by using MCPelauncher I can. (I have yet to try achievements on it though I suspect they will trigger since it is the same version as my Phone. ) The Achievement gives the reward on Phone. But in PC remains locked since its “Cross Platform”.
I believe these to be all related in some way. But admit they could be seperate bugs.
You closed my original as Resolved and it IS NOT RESOLVED as in FIXED!
This is Still broke. The only work around being that you need to set Realms to SAVE upon Nether entrance. This is a damn joke. And is NOT effing resolved. Clearing Bugs as Resolved does NOT mean you fixed them. Loosing Progress upon entering the Nether sucks. With the only recoarse is waiting for a while to see if the server corrects itself. (Sometimes it does. Sometimes it does not.) This is a server issue. The game saves normally on exit. But anytime a person, Whether solo play on Realms or with a Group, in which one player may stay in overworld…..it RUBBERBANDS after Disconnecting and loads to the latest save point. Sometimes. IF lucky….it will “Catch back Up” to the time you DC’ed.
I am paying Specifically so me and my kiddos can play together or on the same world at different times. And this is unacceptable. It is ALSO unacceptable behavior to close out a ticket like you did.

Running Windows mainly. Updated to newest version when I reopened this ticket.
Has been happening to me here at my place and to my Girls on Chrome Books at their place. All three of us are on 1.21.111…..
I tried Linux to see if the problem would resolve. It did not.
When we enter the Nether. Run a few blocks, whether SOLO or with each other. We disconnect. If we wait 20 min sometimes the server catches back up and lets us continue where we DC’ed from. Otherwise IF we try to enter the Game again it just loads the latest save which is entirely random as to when that save took place. 5 min ??? 35 min ??? no one knows specifically but it appears as to rubber band us Back in time to previous saved points.
If we say screw it. Log off for about a Hour or maybe 20 min. Sometimes the server adjusts itself and fixes itself. SO that we regain our proper point in time. ALSO noticed that if we switch Servers, Sometimes this fixes the issue however the Game will get STUCK on a server and refuse to reset to another. This is both in the Realms settings panel before logging into game and Also once logged in world.
Also…..I am seeing fairly new posts both here and on Reddit suggesting this is a ongoing issue that Mojang is aware of but seems to be somewhat at a loss as to how to fix it. It seems from my end to be pointing to how the game saves progress (Though not directly) and the transition between the Over World and the Nether. NOTE…..this does not happen in the End. It seems specifically Nether and Over World link up related. Almost like we zone into the Nether and the game pushes us out of bounds.
It is infuriating.
Also. I have downloaded the Realm local and ran it. And it does NOT drop like this when ran from my PC. I can zip into the nether with no issues. Forget about me mentioning Linux. As my rig is Windows 11 based. And still does this. There is not specific trigger other then Gearing up to enter the Nether. Or to jump Nether portals (As we have several set up to get around faster) With One Main Portal in my main base that is link to center of Nether spawn area. All the rest are properly linked and mapped out so as not to interfere with each other.
The ONLY reason I sub to Realms is because I want me and my Girls/kids to play together and they can play when I am not on line. So that progress is saved. Otherwise I would run local and be done with this.
Our realm has been plagued with this problem. It seems to be related to entering the nether. For a while, we were getting ‘terracotta’ errors, and all kicked off the realm. When we logged back on we would be rolled back about 20-30 minutes.
Now, we don’t get ‘terracotta’, instead we are getting ‘bat’ errors. So now, almost every time, if I enter the nether, about 5 minutes later everyone on the server gets kicked off, we get a ‘bat’ error, and I’m rolled back to the moment just before I entered the nether. It has made it to the point that the nether is completely pointless. If we all just stay to the overworld, everything seems to be ok.
This issue is being tracked at MCPE-224638.
If you continue to have this issue where rubber banding latency happens and you lose progress. The easiest solution that you can do currently would be to make sure before everyone enters the nether is to make sure that you back up progress prior to entering the nether. At the moment I'm not really sure how the backup process works on Realms, but there seems to be a time frame involved that it saves during active play. For example every 15 minutes or 30 minutes the best way I know is to get everyone on board before entering the nether, make sure the save is there, have everyone log out and log back in and then enter the nether.
Me and my daughter played last night and she wanted to go into The Nether, so we both logged out confirmed the save was active within 5 minutes of logging and then we both entered The Nether together and it worked perfectly. No lag. Rubber banding or progression loss.
PS - This was on the realm world that we have been having some extreme problems with as well I might add.
I'm having the same problem you described. It started as a "terracotta" error, and after the last update it became a "bat" error. Currently, I have friends in the Nether, Overworld, and The End, and we're all disconnected since there's no solution for this problem at the moment. What do you recommend as a way for all my friends and me to go only to the Overworld?
Basically what I said above. Each of you need to log in alone and go through the Nether Portal and then AFK until the save happens. Once that happens you ought to be able to log out and let your next friend in line do the same thing. If you're unsure of things saving correctly you can agree to meet at your main base. The idea being that I think there's a problem with the way the game is saving on the Realms server and the time frame between saving and the fact that people get scattered. For example if one of you is in Overworld and the other of you is in the Nether, there seems to be some kind of conflicting issue where Realms does not like people in both places. It is definitely tied to the way Realms is saving the info for the world information and also it is tied to going through the Nether Portal.
It's funny it doesn't seem to happen in the End much, that I remember. In fact it hasn't happened now for a while to me and my kids playing. And we have since defeated the Ender Dragon so there might be a correlation there.
Keep in mind the world that this was happening on with us we have about 12 different portals set up north south east and west with our main base portal in the center and almost all the portals are over 800 blocks away from each other in the Overworld so as not to conflict with each other.
We got to the point since it's just a three user Realm and not the 10 slot Realm we got to where before we go through to the Nether we prepare and then we log off before we go in and then we all log back in this forces a save I believe and for whatever reason seems to clear cache.
I live by myself and my kids live with my wife so we're not on the same network at all and I am 100% certain this is server side because I have downloaded the realm world and hosted it local and its not had the issue.
Please note, as explained in the Bug Tracker Guidelines, that “resolved” does not mean “fixed”. In this case, the original report was invalid because in order to actually diagnose and fix the issue we need enough information to reproduce it. That is why we ask for a list of steps that can be followed to directly lead to the crash. The other way that information is collected is from the automated reports sent by the realm servers when there is a crash, as these contain diagnostic information that can help track down the problem. Also, in general all “crashes” look somewhat the same unless there is a specific way to distinguish them.
If you are really running version 1.21.95, as shown in the main Minecraft screen, then please update to the latest release version. Only reports about the latest release (or preview) versions can be accepted.
In addition, although you may want to run Bedrock Edition on Linux, use of external tools is not supported, and issues resulting from that are invalid. Mojang has no control over what these external tools might be doing. Even connecting to a realm with an unsupported environment might cause issues.
For now, this issue is being “resolved” as Awaiting Response and it will automatically reopen when you provide more information.
Please confirm that you are using the latest 1.21.111 release version and that you are only running on supported platforms (Windows, Android) and not Linux.
Please try to provide a list of steps that someone else could follow and that will “immediately” lead to a crash if possible.
