Realms world is not giving items when breaking blocks (Minecarts, Blocks mined, carrots harvested, etc.)

On both the Xbox One and the Switch version of the game, players are unable to break blocks and get the items from them. This has resulted in the loss of a shulker box, a minecart, carrots and various blocks that were attempted to be mined. This is a very frustrating problem as it is preventing me and my kids from enjoying our 4600 day world that we have worked hard to create for the past month. We were hoping that the newest update would fix, but it appears to have not addressed the issue.
