The world turned off all settings pretty much turned the survival world into adventure mode. There’s no way to revert it back to survival without turning on cheats and losing the ability to earn achievements in this world anymore. Mobs don’t spawn in the world anymore, weather’s turned off and it’s always daytime now.

It happened when I replaced the realm with a backup save from a little while before, and when I logged back into the realm, all of the settings were turned off. I tried downloading a backup from before the bug occurred, but an error occurred every time I tried to download the backup. Eventually I was able to, I checked that save in single player and all of the settings were back to normal, but once I replaced the realm with that world all the settings were turned off again.
I have the exact same issue on Android. World settings altered, no daylight cycle, no mob spawning. Unable to revert settings without enabling cheats and losing achievements. Also, mined blocks no longer drop items. Problem was triggered after restoring save game. Restoring an even earlier save also had no effect. Basically, game is unplayable now.
Hi!
Thank you for your report!
Besides loading a world backup, are there any particular reproduction steps we should follow in order to reproduce this issue?
Have you changed any of the Realms world slots? For example activating any other world slot or resetting it?
Could it happen after the game’s update?
Do you remember what gamerules were selected prior to the first world load?

I tried today the follow setup. I have used a automatic saved game from the realms from December 24, 2025. Following the info from realms with version 1.21.131
If I download it and open in my local bedrock 1.21.132 and I got the follow entries for cheats (I never activated cheats in my realms):
If I use the same backup for my realms, replacing my current world, I get
So the setting got lost, what I also have with my current world. I’m not willing to activate cheats, but it would be nice if the default settings for the cheat values could be reset.
PS: It looks similar for the world options
I see no progress here. Do you need some additional help?
In some way there are two problem to fix here.
restore from backup or save world should set the settings correctly
world that are already restored and the settings are lost should be fixed too.
Without a fix here, playing Realms become useless.
I have downloaded from an automatic save file from months ago before the problem, and it didn't fix it. I have reloaded from a manual save with no results. I have also taken the world from the realm, downloaded it, and uploaded it to another realm slot, and it still doesn’t work. I agree that realms is less appealing if achievements are unobtainable on it.
I am experiencing the same issue. Time is frozen on my world. Sleeping does not progress time, nor does just sitting somewhere. I’ve included a link to a video showing the moon frozen. Video from Realms World on Switch
Whatever this issue is, it only effects my world on Realms. When I downloaded the Realm to a local world, everything functioned properly. All the world options were on as they were supposed to be and time progressed properly. The same backup file restored to the Realm had all world options except Days Played unchecked and time was frozen.
The version of the world loaded for both is saved in my Realms storage for reference (created prior to downloading and restoring).
Reloaded downloaded world into another Realms slot and world functioned normally. Noticed the following settings were disabled on the on-functional world (not disabled by me):
World Options:
Friendly Fire
Show Coordinates
Fire Spreads
Recipes Unlock
TNT Explodes
Respawn Blocks Explode
Mob Loot
Natural Regeneration
Tile Drops
Beds Work
Cheats:
Do Daylight Cycle
Mob Spawning
Mob Griefing
Entities Drop Loot
Weather Cycle
Command Block Enabled
All of these should have been on, and somehow the server disabled them.
Original broken world is in slot 1 and re-uploaded world is in slot 2 on my account to examine.
This happened to me too, I’ve tried downloading backups from before this happened but the toggles stay on even after replacing the world with a backup (which was also very difficult to do because backups seem to be glitched out right now too)
