I have downloaded from an automatic save file from months ago before the problem, and it didn't fix it. I have reloaded from a manual save with no results. I have also taken the world from the realm, downloaded it, and uploaded it to another realm slot, and it still doesn’t work. I agree that realms is less appealing if achievements are unobtainable on it.

Also uninstalled the game then reinstalled it, but the same error message still pops up.

I have no resource packs installed.

So far I haven't encountered the issue with the current update. I will keep watch on it though.

That may be part of it. What happens is that the bug persists once you leave the boat. Perhaps the game still sees you as swimming even when you're standing on the beach doing nothing?
