To recreate, place a sign. Type out the text, more than one line. The text will flicker in and out. Exit the sign creation (b button on my controller) and the text completely disappears. This is happening in three different realms, in three different texture packs. (Signs in my lone solo world, however, are still working). See three attached clips
This problem is weirdly intermittent. It happened last week when a new player tried adding a sign with his name on it to our player roster tree. However, a couple of days ago I was able to put up several signs in another realm. Now, signs are not working in several different realms.

Today WIN 10 Realms signs STILL have the bug (drives me crazy), and same bug now reported on NINTENDO SWITCH {See G J Piper profile)

You can get some text to stay on a sign (When bug is activated) IF YOU TYPE NO SPACES!?

This could be a hard bug to find/fix, but you will clear 10 - 15 of your reported issues with one fix. (realms-1427, realms-39350, Realms-1375 etc. even as old as realms-787 for Version 1.2)

I've been able to post signs since the yesterday's update, playing Win 10 version on my Dell laptop. So far. It's been an intermittent problem, so I don't know if the update patched it or it just decided to start working again until the next time it decides not to, lol.

I've had this problem since I started my realm in August. Certain words (the majority of them are player names, but there are some other random words like "paper") will cause a sign to be posted and then immediately delete the text. If you write the same word in a book, it will censor the word with ####s. To be clear, these words aren't profanity in any way, but player names such as "Hannah", "Bryan", or "Cody" most of the time. It happens with the same words consistently, but occasionally after a long time of not trying a specific word (think weeks to months), it will be typeable again.
I don't believe this was patched as David is suggesting above, because I am having this issue this morning still on the latest version.

Unfortunately this has not been resolved as Robert suggested above. In fact, the issue seems to be becoming more frequent. I cannot even type the word "west" in my realm, let alone half the other words I need to post navigational signs. About 7 times out of 10, a sign I place is censored. This is incredibly frustrating, as signs are very important in a multiplayer world with many members.

Today was weird. I placed two signs successfully before the third one I tried placing glitched out and the text would disappear as I was typing it, only to be completely blank once I placed the sign.

There does seem to be improvement, but problem is not recolved. We should just offer video from now on as I have done with this comment.

Does anyone play Minecraft on the Win 10 PC Realm and use signs. They frequently go blank.
(1) is this a feature that prevents names? Tim Wu goes blank several ways (to see this watch video)
(2) is this a feature the prevents internet addresses? .com goes blank
(3) Intelligent discussions here would be appreciated (NOT JUST "RESOLVED") when it is not resolved

I've noticed this happen when people try to post their names to my player roster tree at spawn in my realm. I haven't had any new members lately, so I can't say if it's still happening. I've also seen it happen frequently, and recently, with their odious chat filter where names will be hashtagged.
I don't know of any way to unmark this as resolved. You might try opening a new report on this subject and posting your video and comments there. I think this thread has been relegated to the dustbin and no one will see it to address your concerns. Best of luck to you.

This is still not resolved, happening in Realms on 1.16 with birch signs. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Just putting down coordinates also, nothing extreme.
