I own and run a 5-year-old Minecraft Bedrock Realm and we have encountered a problem. Since around November 2025, we have been unable to create a world download. The problem seems to stem from the download reaching 1 gigabyte. I have looked into this and found the issue is not client-side, but rather a problem with the servers. I have sent multiple emails to which my problems were ignored apart from, “we will look into it” and I’ve decided this requires a bug report. Across different networks, devices, everything has this same result. Our realm is only 1.2 gigs so it shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
There is a second side of this bug. It seems certain instances of downloading will take multiple minutes per megabyte. It will go on for around 20 minutes until it breaks around 20 megabytes. I am pleading, please fix this bug so I can make backups of my realm again.
