PS5 Bedrock crashes with "An error occurred" when uploading my large world (685.3 MB) to Realms

Minecraft Bedrock Version: v26.32

Platform: PlayStation 5 (Native PS5 version)

Realm Type: Realm Plus (10-player)

World Size: 685.3 MB

Issue:

I am unable to upload my large Bedrock world to my Realm on PS5. Small test worlds upload successfully, but my main survival world consistently fails during the upload.

The upload reaches different amounts each attempt (430 MB, 460 MB, 500 MB, and 590 MB) before immediately displaying "An error occurred" and returning me to the Minecraft main menu.

The failure point changes between attempts, so it does not appear to be one corrupted chunk.

Troubleshooting already attempted:

  • Restarted the PS5 multiple times.

  • Cleared Minecraft cached data.

  • Used a wired Ethernet connection.

  • Purchased and tested a Realm Plus (10-player) subscription.

  • Tried uploading to multiple Realm slots.

  • Uploaded a fresh copy of the world.

  • Removed all resource packs and behavior packs.

  • Experiments have never been enabled.

  • Small worlds upload successfully.

  • This issue only affects my 685.3 MB world.

This world originally started on PS4 and was later continued on the native PS5 version of Minecraft.

Expected Result:
The world uploads successfully to Realms.

Actual Result:
The upload stops between approximately 430 MB and 590 MB, displays "An error occurred," returns to the menu I was on before pressing upload, and the world is not uploaded.
