Changing Realm gamemode temporarily breaks the Realm

I've been working on a world recently, and I uploaded it to my realm with a good amount of players on it. After about an hour of working, I attempted to download my world from the realm because i needed to edit something on the world without being on the realm. When i attempted to download it, it just gave me a "Failed" error. I tried re-opening the realm and joining and leaving it, and still nothing. I tried downloading a backup, and still no luck.
