I logged out of my Realm while in an End City. When I logged back, I could here the End SFX, but the screen stopped on "Building Terrain."
I downloaded the world to try to log in from single player and it just stopped on "Generating World."

Hasn't this bug been out for like 6 months? It's not exactly a small bug either. If the owner isn't that active then you won't be able to join again on that account.
I had the same thing happen. Once I used the end gateway to get to the end cities it gives me a black screen. So I log out hoping that would be the fix but then I just get stuck at building terrain. Only thing that worked is my Realm owner logged in and reset the realm back 12 minutes.

Similar thing happened to me. Was in the end, (not in an end city) and logged out. Came back a couple of hours later and could only get to the "building terrain" screen.
I also downloaded the world and tried to play in single player and it stopped on "generating world"
All of my friends can log on.
When I try to connect and then stop they can see in game that it says I left the realm.
