i have checked, and double checked my settings, all set to normal difficulty, mobs on. Nothing.
Can spawn by summon and by using eggs but no natural spawns
Please provide some screenshots and/or videos of this issue occurring whilst the F3 debug screen is enabled. Also, what was the "doMobSpawning" gamerule set to at the time of encountering this problem?
Does this issue still occur? If so, can you please comment which version of Minecraft you are running?

Similar for my realm, but if I set the difficulty to Normal, hostile mobs spawn, but no matter what no passive mobs will naturally spawn, be summoned, or spawn by a spawn egg.
