I've has this issue for a week now. I paid to renew my Nintendo membership and paid for minecoin to renew my realm. I got error message the first time that something went wrong and to try again. I attempted to try again and I'm left with these messages.
S_omeone started renewing a realm with the billing account on this device. Would you like to complete renewing that realm with this Xbox Live account as the owner?_
And after I click "yes" I'm given:
Your purchase succeeded, but we couldn't create your realm right now. We will create your Realm as soon as possible. check back later on this device.
I try again later to renew the same realm, same messages. And sometimes it says I need to buy more minecoins to renew the realm. But I've already paid and the game has already taken them.

I have the same issue. Even attempted a second renewal for 190 days, took the coins, but no realm created. Deleted realm with the hope it needed to create a new one, but it will not create a new one either. Takes your coins but does not deliver.
the problem begin with the realm expiring on 1/8/2020, renewed, waited 24 hours, it worked for a day and then expired on 1/9/2020.
