Just suddenly couldn't interact with anything on my friend's realm

I've been playing on my friend's bedrock realm for awhile now and one day I log on only to find out I am unable to break or place anything, unable to interact with doors, chests, furnaces, crafting tables etc. I was also unable to drop any existing items in my inventory despite being able to pick up items fine. The only things I could do were pick up my wolves and cats, eat existing food in my inventory, feed animals and shoot bows/crossbows. My friend tried reuploading the world, making sure I'm put as member. He even tried changing my gamemode because we initially suspected that I was on adventure gamemode but that didnt work either. Our realm doesn't have cheats enabled btw, and none of my other friends are affected by this problem while playing on this realm.
